⚠️

SAFETY FIRST: Read Before You Begin

Working with mains electricity (220V/110V) is extremely dangerous. Always turn off the main circuit breaker before installing or touching any wires. If you are not 100% confident in your electrical skills, please hire a licensed electrician. We want you safe, not shocked!

1️⃣

Install the Device

Your energy monitor comes fully assembled. You just need to install the CT clamp and voltage sensing wires inside your electrical panel.

Live (L)
Neutral (N)
Device Voltage
Input Connect to L & N
⚠️ Important: The CT clamp must go around only ONE wire (the Live wire). If you clamp it around both Live and Neutral, it will read 0 Amps!
  1. Turn off the main breaker.
  2. Identify the Live (usually black or red) and Neutral (usually white) wires.
  3. Clip the CT clamp around the Live wire only.
  4. Connect the voltage sensing wires to Live and Neutral.
  5. Turn the main breaker back on. The device will power up automatically.
2️⃣

Connect to Your Home Wi-Fi

Your device needs to connect to your home Wi-Fi network so it can send energy data to your dashboard. No computer or coding required!

  1. Look for the Setup Wi-Fi

On your smartphone or laptop, go to your Wi-Fi settings. Look for a network named "EnergyMonitor_Setup" (or similar) and connect to it. No password is required.

  2. Open the Setup Page

Once connected, a setup page should pop up automatically. If it doesn't, open your web browser and go to 192.168.4.1.

  3. Enter Your Home Wi-Fi Details

Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list, enter your Wi-Fi password, and click Save.

💡 Note: The device only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. If you have a dual-band router, make sure you connect to the 2.4GHz one.
  4. Wait for the Connection

The device will restart and connect to your home Wi-Fi. The setup network will disappear. This means it is successfully connected!

3️⃣

Claim Your Device & Verify

Now you need to link the device to your account using the serial number provided to you by the seller.

  1. Log in to the Dashboard

Open your Energy Monitor website and log in with your email and password.

  2. Click "Claim New Device"

On the main dashboard, look for the "Device:" dropdown and click the ➕ Claim New Device button.

  3. Enter the Serial Number Provided to You

Type the unique serial number that was provided to you by the seller when you purchased your kit. (e.g., A1B2C3).

📦 Don't have a serial number? Please contact the person who sold or provided you the device. They will give you the correct serial number to claim.
  4. Verify the Device is Working

After claiming, select your device from the dropdown. Look at the top bar for the ● live indicator. Then, check the Power Now and Voltage circles on the dashboard.

✅ Success! If the numbers are updating (e.g., 229.4 V, 71.6 W), your device is working perfectly!

    ❌ Still showing "--"?
    1. Wait 1-2 minutes and refresh the page.
    2. If it still doesn't work, double-check your Wi-Fi password in Step 2.
    3. If it still doesn't work, contact your provider for support.
4️⃣

Set Your Rate, Cutoff & Budget

To get accurate billing estimates, you need to tell the system how you are billed.

  1. Update Rate from Previous Bill

Go to the ⚙️ Controls section. Enter your last bill's Billing Start, Billing End, kWh consumption, and Amount Due. Click 📊 Compute & Update. The system will automatically calculate your ₱/kWh rate and set your billing cycle!

  2. Set Your Cycle Budget

In the 💰 Cycle Budget section, enter your total budget for the whole billing cycle (e.g., ₱5000). The dashboard will track your spending and show you your remaining allowance.

✅ Pro Tip: The Cycle Budget is independent. It will not reset when your billing cycle rolls over, so you can always keep an eye on your spending limits.
